Aloe vera

     THE MAGIC IN ALOE VERA.
      (Aloe barbadensis)

Every one needs an aloe near the kitchen window. Many
centuries ago people realized that the plant had more to
offer than just being beautiful to look at. The tough-look
ing spikes slice surprisingly to reveal a shiny, soft, gelIk
e sap. The gell and juice became a very popular remedy
that was used to help treat skin issues to burns and scald
and even digestive problems. Amazing right??This plant has many medicinal and com
mercial uses. Infact, it is one of the most useful plants in the
whole world. It is rich in antidioxants such as Vitamins A, C
        and E
It has at least six natural antiseptics and about hundred
         more uses.

Aloe Vera has been effective in treating skin conditions
Such as acne and psoriasis; aloe creams have a calming
effect on the skin and have been shown to help  reduce
         its itchiness and inflammation.

Fifty years ago it was discovered that patients with facia
-l X-ray burns treated with with fresh aloe Vera juice
healed surprisingly fast. Some people swear by aloe to
calm sunburn. You might have experienced the gel’s
          cooling effect yourself.
If you are unable to grow this beautiful plant yourself,
Aloe gel or juice is available from health food stores,
although it’s less gel-like than from a plant you grow
          yourself.
